Emil is a Systems / Software Engineer with professional interests are in the areas of system and kernel programming (Linux, UNIX, POSIX), parallel and network programming, FOSS, computer networks, computer security and infrastructure automation. His professional career to date includes multiple teams and projects in HP - starting with year-long internship in the High Performance Computing Division of HP in Grenoble/France, followed by more than 5 years in the High Performance Computing Division of HP in Galway/Ireland, working mainly on HP SFS (a complete cluster storage solution for High Performance Linux Clusters, based on CFS Lustre) and for few months on HP XC (an industrial-grade, highly scalable, Linux cluster system). Then he moved to the HP Remote Support & Proactive Services Tools R&D Team in Galway/Ireland, working on HP AVC (availability collector for mission critical servers) and HP SHC (system health check for mission critical servers) where he was in charge of the software development, building, testing and support of those two client side tools in mission critical HP-UX and Linux environments. Finally, since November 2012, he's a member of the HP Cloud Services Team in Galway, working in the Operations Automation Team.
