OpenStack Liberty Design Summit

OpenStack presents the promise of a fully functional, open standard cloud platform that can be assembled using components to address mission-critical use cases. We will hear how Thomson-Reuters has deployed OpenStack, along with the newly incubated Openstack project Manila, to solve their business problem of creating a Shared File System as a Service. In addition, we will hear how Manila was integrated to their current deployment of NetApp’s Work Flow Automation(WFA) tool to leverage their current investment of WFA. Thomson-Reuters will share their experiences, rationale, and business objectives with their OpenStack deployment using Manila with NetApp’s technology. Attendees will leave enlightened to see that others have been able to successfully deploy OpenStack within their environments, and be able to clearly see how NetApp’s storage and data management offerings were critical to their success.
