Whack a Mole – killing and healing multi-region / multi-cloud HEAT applications

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Current Telco applications are vastly distributed to allow high accessibility to customers all over the world.

A virtualized Telco application that has a distributed deployment over multiple datacenters, can perfectly fit a Carrier's needs and requirements.

In this session we will introduce the concept of deploying multi-region / multi-cloud applications. We will discuss the advantages of a distributed deployment with regards to High Availability, and the drawbacks of running a highly available deployment on the same node, addresing failures and upgrade requirements.

We will discuss how using CloudBand, we can deploy with a single click an application that will include multiple HEAT stacks on multiple clouds with a single management point.

As part of the session, we will demonstrate a healing event on a distributed application while using the audience to kill a VM or a volume.
