How to Configure your Cloud and Tempest for Interoperability Testing

One of the most important promises of OpenStack is compatability and interoperability between private and public clouds. You can check how compliant your OpenStack deployment is by running Tempest against it and comparing the results to a known set of capabilities, like those listed by Defcore.

However, configuring Tempest, and configuring your cloud to work with Tempest, can be challenging for operators. In this talk we will show how you can use the refstack-client to automate your Tempest installation, what users and networks need to be in your cloud for testing, and the essential parameters to set in you tempest.conf to have a successful run.

The aim is to take the confusion and mystery out of Tempest and help you make interoperability testing a powerful tool for your operations toolkit.
